A great man

After a couple of meetings Tuesday, I was ready to go home to the family, but more on that later.

David Doorley and I took some time today discussing the new Editorial Assistant position opening up here at Out.  The position is available immediately and offers a great opportunity for someone to get their foot in the door, learn the business and the potential to advance.  There is a catch though.  You must have a journalism background.  Knowledge of Quark and proofreading is helpful, too.  Interested?  Contact Tony Molnar-Strejcek at tony@outonline.comor David Doorley at davidd@outpub.com

Editorial not your cup of tea?  I am also looking for display advertising salespeople.  Why not advertise here for Out positions available?  This blog has grown to several hundred, if not thousands of daily visitors.  Hey, I use what I have…

Ed called and reminded me that we had friends coming for dinner and they have arrived early.  I must add that these guys were not your typical guests.  These guests arrived in a box, not a car and needed a hot bath before dinner.  NO! It is no necessary for our guests to bath before dinner!   Confused yet?  Hint:  We were not serving them dinner.  They were what we were serving for dinner.  Totally confused now?   Ed and I ordered live lobster and they were delivered by Fed Ex.

You may be asking, what’s the special occasion?  The truth is, you do not need a special occasion to have an incredible evening.  In a long-term relationship like ours (19+ years), it’s the little things you do that show how important your partner and family are to you.

After dinner, I retired to our family room to watch the presidential debate.  I was very encouraged to discover that our son Matt was interested in watching the debate with us.  Matt has always been a good football buddy, but his interest in our government was very refreshing.

The debate went as I expected, and I think I learned a little more about both candidates.  I did not have the expectations of a train wreck or train wreck clean-up like the vice presidential debate nor did I believe that my opinion would be altered.

The stakes are high.  The president elect has the opportunity to help this country return to all levels of greatness and position himself as one of America’s greatest presidents.

We, democrats and republicans need to come together as our country struggles with an event not seen here since 1929.  One man (or woman) can change the future.  You are that person.

Speaking of great men…I am fortunate to have one at home.  Some would say there are five great men there…LOL.    His name is Ed or Eddy for those of you that read our classifieds.  Ed is such a compassionate and beautiful person.  He keeps me grounded and is always the first to tell me when I am wrong and off track.  And, also first to praise me.  Although, he is not perfect, in my eyes he is damn close.   What an intelligent and beautiful person inside and out you are Mr. Eddy Molnar-Strejcek.

Thanks for choosing me babe.  Now get back to work!

Chat soon.
