HERE’S A CLUE

Some may have issues with my post yesterday.  I thought it was important.

Today is Chris’ and my mother’s birthday.  Ed gets the somber task of moving Chris into his dorm at college today.  This is always a sad day for Ed and me.

It means the end of summer is near and the end of Chris living at home is around the corner.

It only gets worse the first day of school for the other boys.  Three more weeks for that event.

Tonight we will have cake with my mom for her birthday.  Chris’ party was last Saturday night at Barroom and Saddle Ridge.  I suspect Saddle Ridge was chosen for the other folk in the party.  Ed and I preferred Barroom.  We danced and danced.  Not sure if anyone really noticed that we were dancing with each other and who should care?  The party was a hit and Chris really had a blast.  Maybe too much of a blast?

Sunday, we did the family party for him at home.

My mother’s request is the Meadow’s Casino this weekend.  As many of you know, I have a long history with the track as my father has been racing there since the 70s.  Ed and I have owned race horses over the past.  My family is still involved in horse racing.  This will be my first visit to the Meadows since the new casino opened.  Please wish me luck!

All I feel like doing this weekend is having a few cocktails out at our pool.  It might happen, but I am sure a trip to the track, dinner out and some cleaning will dominate our weekend.  So be it.  I have a wonderful husband and great family to enjoy it with.  Folks, that’s what it is all about.

Someone to share it all with.
