AFA’s Bryan Fischer Will Bet You Everything He’s Got That Gays Will Ultimately Demand Reinstatement of ‘DADT’

American Family Association’s Bryan Fischer tries to explain that the repeal of "Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell" will ultimately lead to gays demanding the reinstatement of "DADT" so they won’t be forced serve in the military.

Right Wing Watch explains:

As Fischer sees it, with the repeal of DADT, gays will no longer enlist in the military because a) gays don’t really want to be soldiers and b) they know they won’t be able to use being gay as an excuse to get out of the military.

At the same time, the repeal of DADT will also cause straights to stop enlisting in the military because they don’t want to have to serve with gays, which will mean that there will be such a drop-off in enlistments that the government will be forced to institute a draft.

At that point, the gays will demand reinstatement of "DADT".

I do hereby declare one day in the month of June, namely June 12, 2011, "Pittsburgh Pride Day" here in our most livable City of Pittsburgh.

Target CEO Hit with Questions About Same-Sex Marriage Ban, Political Giving at Annual Meeting

Target CEO Gregg Steinhafel was hammered with questions about its political donations to MN Forward on Wednesday and its support of an amendment banning same-sex marriage in Minnesota at the company’s annual meeting in Pittsburgh, Reuters reports

Bill de Blasio, New York City public advocate and trustee of the New York City employees retirement system, which holds about $50 million in Target shares, said on Tuesday that he is "deeply concerned" when he sees those pension investments used unwisely.

A number of shareholders at Wednesday’s meeting echoed his comments, repeatedly asking Steinhafel about the donation. Target has changed its review process for donations since the MN Forward donation, but some shareholders would like to see a more explicit apology and broader change from the company.

When asked specifically about the marriage amendment, Steinhafel said, "Our position at this particular time is that we are going to be neutral on that particular issue, as we would be on other social issues that have polarizing points of view…We’re a retail store, we welcome everybody…We have a broad team-member base, every shape and size and color.

Target shares plunged 21.7 percent from the beginning of 2011 through Tuesday.

Catholic School Bans Rainbows Because It Doesn’t Want Gay-Straight Alliance Showing ‘Pride’

The St Joseph Catholic Secondary School told the school’s unofficial Gay-Straight Alliance that it couldn’t display any rainbows at an anti-homophobia event on June 3, so the students responded by making rainbow cupcakes, Canada’s Xtra reports:

Leanne Iskander, 16, who founded the school’s “unofficial” gay-straight alliance in March, tells Xtra the Dufferin-Peel Catholic School Board put the kibosh on displaying any rainbows at their information booth.

“We brought signs and posters with rainbows, and we were told that we can’t put them up,” says Iskander, who was recently named the 2011 honored dyke and youth grand marshal.

The teacher who delivered the news told Iskander the decision came from the board. “The board wasn’t there, but they knew about the event,” she says.

Since rainbows couldn’t be displayed openly and proudly, the students baked rainbows into the cupcakes by dying the batter in a rainbow of colours. The cupcakes were sold for 50 cents each, raising about $200 for charity.

Here is hoping none of her 152 friends unfriend her.  How long would it take to tattoo my 3045 friends from Facebook? 

Maybe I should stick to the 3 actual friends I personally know on Facebook.
